General Insurance Actuary (Taipei)

Location: Taipei

A recently qualified or more experienced general insurance actuary is required for a job heading up an expanding general insurance operation in Taiwan. Work will include regulatory responsibilities such as rate filing and compliance and pricing and reserving of the Taiwan portfolio, which is mainly personal lines insurance.

Strong communication skills are required to develop relationships between actuarial and other teams within the company to ensure that actuarial is part of the decision making. The right candidate would ideally, but not necessarily, be local, but he or she may previously have gained experience elsewhere.

Strong written Chinese skills are very important for this job.
