An associate or recently qualified actuary with 5 years relevant experience and at least 1-2 years supervisory experience is required to provide financial analysis for the Hong Kong Corporate office of a multinational life office with a strong presence in China. Work will include:
· Carry out source of earnings analysis on GAAP basis for individual business
· Participate in various actuarial projects including asset / liability management, valuation and financial reporting
· Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for business initiatives and projects such as agent compensation review and bancassurance
· Be aware of and interpret emerging standards, assess implications and ensure compliance by providing supports on design and applications to meet the industry and professional practices
The right candidate for this job will be a fast learner and able to apply actuarial theories to develop practical solutions to various assignments and projects. He or she will have good time management and analytical skills and a solid background in financial reporting, pricing or asset / liability matching.
