Head of Actuarial, Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City)

Location: Vietnam

An actuary with at least 7 years work experience in life insurance, 2 of these years in a management capacity, is required to develop products that will meet the financial and risk management objectives of the Vietnam office of a large multinational life assurer. Responsibilities will include the following:

Analyse the company's experience to provide insight to management on ways to improve the company's financial performance

Ensure quality, timeliness and effectiveness of management, statutory, GAAP and tax reporting

Ensure compliance of local regulation related to actuarial aspects

Assist with the business development plan

Direct the actuarial aspects of business development, system development and regulation required activities

Make recommendations on dividend and crediting rates for participating products

Liaise with investment team on investment and ALM strategies

Manage capital and solvency

Design and review distributor compensation and marketing campaigns

Evaluate cost and benefit of business opportunities
