Due to expanding regional business, a job has arisen for a general insurance actuary with around ten years experience (at least three post qualification) to manage and coordinate the local Asian general insurance operations for a large insurance group.
The position will require strong technical skills in order to support and get involved in pricing and reserving as well as take on regulatory and signing responsibilities. Strong business development skills are important to drive forward the developing operations and sound leadership and organisational abilities are required to coordinate the functions across the region. The job reports to the regional CFO and the Chief Actuary in the home office international division.
Relationship building skills are important, not only with clients, regulatory bodies and peers within the industry, but also to enhance communication between the regional and local offices and also between the actuarial and finance functions.
Strong communication skills, with fluent written and spoken English and Chinese are important.
