An exciting opportunity has become available at a one of the smaller insurance companies in Johannesburg. The position will provide exposure to group schemes, life insurance, savings and health income.
Outline of Key Result Areas:
· Ensure complete management information on the profitability and risk of all new and existing products is available to enable appropriate decision making.
· Make sound pricing decisions within the approvals framework.
· Ensure the implementation of the agreed pricing bases and risk control measures.
· Design and implement tools to support the pricing function.
· Provide technical advice and assistance on special projects, which includes the preparation of financial models to assess business proposals and provide commentary thereon.
· Be the company expert on HIV/AIDS and the modelling thereof.
· Assist with investigations as and when required
· Conduct peer reviews of the work done by fellow actuarial team members
· Management and mentoring of 3 staff members.
