Actuarial Consultant: Strategic Initiatives: Africa, Johannesburg

An actuary with three to five years PQE (or senior students with extensive experience), preferably from a life consulting environment, is required to act as an actuarial consultant for strategic initiatives in Africa of large South African organization.

The role will involve providing support to the Group executives driving broad wealth management (asset management, life insurance, short term insurance, healthcare) expansion into Africa. Aggressive expansion plans are backed by strategic partnerships, capital and expertise.

Work will be largely project based and diverse in nature and include due diligence exercises and other M&A activities, assisting in establishing new greenfields operations, driving initiatives in product development, distribution, operations, management information etc. to grow shareholder value in African operations

The suitable candidate must be prepared to travel in Africa.
